Lama Agro Industries ltd

Share & Care launched its agro project in 2008 in Lama, Bandarban, Chittagong on 125 acres (375 Bigha) of land. Initially around twenty two thousand trees were planted in the project area. In 2 to 3 years time a good number of trees will mature and different types of fruits can be harvested, and within 7 to 8 years time these trees will be ready to sell or export.

Palm oil

Bangladesh imports a significant amount of palm oil from foreign countries such as Malaysia. There is a great potential for investors in this sector. Share & Care already has completed its initial survey and is preparing to start business. The company has considered two options for this.

1. Setting up a refinery plant to produce palm oil from crude palm

2. Importing palm oil seed to produce palm oil to meet market demand and supply low cost palm oil
